About My Practice

I've known for a long time that I wanted to help people. What took longer was figuring out what that actually looked like in practice.
Â
I started with a Bachelor's in Finance from the College of Charleston, a detour that, oddly, still comes in handy now that I run my own business. Eventually I found my way to psychology, earning a second Bachelor's from the University of West Florida, and then a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University.

The foundational years of my training, both during my Master's and in my post-graduate work, were spent in community mental health, where I specialized in treating sexual abuse and other forms of trauma. That work shaped how I approach therapy to this day.

Along the way, I trained in TF-CBT and EMDR, and became a Registered Play Therapist™. All of that eventually led me here, to my own private practice.

I work with both children and adults, and honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way. Every new client teaches me something about them and about this work.  If you're looking for a therapist, I'd be glad to be part of your path, wherever it's headed.
